“Georgian Association of Epidemiologists and Infection Control Specialists” on the base of Tbilisi State Medical University started short-term programs of continuous medical education – “Nosocomial infections in a medical institution”(აკრედიტაციის #მპ.2017-20 რს-462), “სამედიცინო დაწესებულების სახიფათო და არასახიფათო ნარჩენების მართვა” (აკრედიტაციის #მპ.2017-21 რს-463) ,(Accreditation #MP.2017-20 RS-462), “Hazardous and non-hazardous waste management of medical facilities” (Accreditation #MP.2017-21 RS-463), “Hand hygiene and infection prevention in a medical facility” (Accreditation #MP.2017 -18 RS-460), “Principles of isolation and infection control in a medical institution” (accreditation # MP.2017-19 RS-461) implementation. The course is interactive and includes both the transfer of theoretical knowledge to the trainees and practical exercises (cases of cases of drinking infections, production of documentation, filling of online reporting forms, production of control sheets, etc.).From June 5 to today, forty trainees (epidemiologists, clinicians, infection control specialists, chief nurses) have passed the program. After completion of each program, a certificate with state accreditation is issued.
